How do you get Tulip plants?

I am trying to get the tulip plants but when I find them near the old mine I only have the option to view them. I can't harvest them or take a cutting!

Anywhere else I can find them?

Welcome to the forum Mckayz, you need to stay in the neighborhood where the tulip (or whatever other wild plant you need) grows until the plant is ready to harvest. I'm wondering what gardening skill level your sim has as grafting is only available at level 5 gardening skill or higher.
If your sim is level 5 gardening or higher then it might help to use the 'remove wild plant' interaction on the tulip plant and let it respawn etc but your sim will need to stay in the same neighborhood again for this to happen. I make my sims crash over at the Landgraabs house and work on another skill while waiting for the wild plants to grow and become harvestable when my sim is a low level gardener.

My gardening level is 10. Every time I go there it's the same, I can only view it.

I'll try staying at the Landgraab house and see if it ever becomes harvestable.

@Mckayz In that case I'd try removing the plant and waiting for it to respawn and then regrow until it becomes available for grafting. Every time I've removed a wild plant it has grown back and had no more issues.

When you click on the plant there should be an interaction 'remove wild plant'. If there isn't then save/quit your game and try clearing your cache file. Go back into your game and see if you can click on the plant and get the 'remove wild plant' option. If you do.... just click on that option.
If the option still doesn't appear then to be honest I'm not sure as I've never had a wild plant that I wasn't able to remove once clearing my cache file.

*edit: the only other thing I can think of is that the plant just needs more time to grow. You'll probably get more ideas posted here as people check out the post too!

Can anyone tell me where to find tulips in Windenburg? This world doesn't have a Landgraab mansion/estate and I've looked everywhere in Windenburg! It's the only plant I need to complete the gardening collection.

Hi Shannon1967 Welcome to the forum.  I don't know where there are tulips in Windenburg but your sim can easily travel to one of the other worlds and harvest some tulips and then travel back home again.

Hi Playalot, thank you so much! I didn't know Sims could travel to any other worlds except Granite Falls. I travelled to Oasis Springs and found the tulip. I have completed the gardening collection thanks to you

No worries, takes a bit of getting used to, it's quite different from the last sims game.  Glad you completed your collection, @Shannon1967  that takes some doing!

There are tulip plants near the Landgraab house in Oasis Springs. If you follow the path down to the mine entrance, you should find some. They won't be available to harvest the first time you visit, but when you go back the second (or third) time, you should be able to pick one.

Or you could hang around that area and wait. They take a couple of hours I believe to be able to harvest. I tend to go collecting in the mean time to keep my sims busy!
