Can you have a family and be a Boss in the Criminal branch?
« on: October 30, 2014, 01:21:15 PM »
Hi all. I'm thinking of starting a legacy and thought it might be fun to have the founder be a criminal but I'm worried that with a mean trait they'll make enemies of all their family members and cause all sorts of issues. I suppose I could just try it out and see if they are constantly doing mean interactions but I wondered if anyone on here had already tried this.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, it works fine. I micro manage a lot though just because that's the way I play but the criminal in my family still has a lot of autonomous family friendly actions. eg, hugs, chat to, deep conversation.  :)

Nancy Landgraab is a good example of having a family and being in the boss branch of criminal..

Nancy Landgraab is a criminal, but she isn't mean.  From my experience those that act autonomously with the mean trait do often perform mean interactions.  I would stay away from it if you want relationships with the family to be high, and you aren't a micro manager.  Being mean isn't necessary for the criminal career, which would still be a fine choice.

Edit:  Just realized this is a very old question.

One of my Sims that I'm playing is mean and doing the boss branch of the criminal career. She has no problems with her household, most of them are friends, including her boyfriend and my plan is for her to have one child. Yes, I micro manage and occasionally catch her with a mean interaction queued. Sometimes I let her follow through with it just for fun if it won't do too much damage but I usually just cancel it. She's a lot of fun too!!

Yes it possible. In my Immortal Dynasty, Colt has that and he has always had a family and been the boss. Plus he is mean as a snake with everyone but his family.

Just personal opinion, but I like to see old threads revived with answers or more questions as it gives more info to someone like me who is just getting the Sims 4 and likes to know in advance all aspects of the game.

The only problem with that @Janna is that many of the subsequent patches have made a lot of this info outdated now. But feel free to post all of your questions in misc. help as I'm sure you'll get helpful answers. :)

will do so,   :)  One of my favorite things is the search option here.  I love to type in keywords and see what it brings up.  I learn a lot from that.
A lot is learned by the asking of questions of course, but the search can help a lot also.
