Mouse sensitivity is way too high

Okay, so I've very recently developed a problem with my mouse in The Sims 4. When I try to rotate the model in Create-a-Sim, they go way too fast and I have to rotate them very very slowly in order to get them to turn at the speed that they used to.
At first, I thought I basically resolved the issue upon remembering that I didn't have to use my mouse to rotate the sims and just used the arrows as well as the , and . keys.
But then I tried editing the Sim's face and realized that the mouse sensitivity issue was affecting that too. These problems have only just started and I have no idea what could have happened that might have caused this. This has made it very difficult to even try making a Sim. I checked the mouse sensitivity on my computer and it's set pretty low so it's clearly something wrong with the game itself. If anyone can help with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

As far as we know there isn't a way to change the mouse sensitivity in Sims 4.

I've found a few tips that may help. Please forgive me if you've already tried these tips.

1. Unplug the mouse and plug it back in to see if that helps.
2. If you have another mouse, try plugging it in.
3. If you've got a battery operated mouse, try a fresh battery.
4. Try moving the mouse to a different USB port (or the receiver if it's a wireless).
5. Check to see if the mouse drivers are up to date.
