Book of Life Wiped

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this: all of my sims Books of Life are no longer 'assigned' to anyone. The writer sim had captured everyone's Epic Saga some moths ago and admittedly I haven't had the sims read them for a while as I had been using cheats to keep their needs up while I was building etc but I noticed yesterday that now all the books are empty and the only option on them is to capture an epic sage. Luckily this is just a casual game but it is going to be a right pain if Books of Life are no longer working correctly.

Ok, now I'm scared as I had planned on using mine to bring back loved ones.  I'll check my, unread for ages, Books of Life to see if they are wiped as well.

EDITED:  I checked.  Mine are all ok.

Good to know, hopefully it is just this particular game file. I have had major bugs on this file before so it's probably still not 100%

Thanks reggikko, thankfully it sounds like its just a glitch on this one file! Whew!

This is why I always make fresh save with every new patch. Things could still go wrong even after you have cleared the cache since if the save is already corrupted, clearing it won't help as the problem still persists on the save file.

Hmm, I usually make a copy of my entire saved game folder and place it on the desktop but seeing as all my games are just casual at the moment I didn't bother. This is quite a strange bug though. lol As far as I can tell nothing else is corrupt, just the Books of Life.

I usually always make new game whenever a patch / expansion hit to ensure no weird glitch happen. If said book can still capture epic saga, than this one glitch is a little inconvenient at best since you only need to re-capture it.

True apart from the main writing sim... I errr *cough* killed off the other writing sim so now my main sim will have to go without a Book of Life. Serves me right for being a meanie!

Sorry, Play but I'm really laughing hard at the being a meanie thing. 

I just went and checked the "filled" Books of Life I have.  One is strange because it says something about calling back ___________  or read the epic saga of __________.  No name!  The others either have the correct names or are blank waiting to be filled.

Was the one with _____ *no name* linked to a now deceased spouse? If so it probably means that ghost has ben culled.
