A serious error has occurred - while going to university

Hi, first of all i want to say sorry for my bad english- it's not my native language. When I was sending my sims to university I got this message "A serious error has occurred while loading [name of gamefile] seriously suggest you restart the application." when the bar was half loaded. I've tried do this http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:A_Serious_Error_Has_Occurred but it didn't help :/ I've tried to send my sims to university on other save and it worked I don't want to lost my save, can someone help me? Nobody in the entire world had this bug

Those instructions confuse me too. The tips in the link below is what I have used the few times I've gotten this error.

This may mean the game file has been corrupted some how. Do you by chance have a backup you can go to before you sent your Sim to University?

It has been suggested that replacing the meta.data file may help this issue.
