Is there a good dystopian style custom world?
« on: November 08, 2015, 12:10:09 PM »
Hi.  :) I hope this is the right place to ask this. I was looking for a dystopian or post-apocalyptic looking world or just a big city with a bit of a dark-ish look that doesn't require Into the Future as I don't own it. Since dystopian books and movies are really popular lately I thought there had to be many but I could only find "Sunset Died" by SimCookie and while I do like it, I would rather play in a Lite-Night-style city, not a world with the usual suburban, small town look most worlds have. Is there one? Or, as I said, just a darker, grungy, shabby custom city. Maybe you know of a good one I couldn't find.  :) My expansion packs are World Adventures, Supernatural, Seasons, Showtime, Generations, Late Night and Ambitions, so I can't play Galadrielh's "Devil's Port", which would have been ideal. Thanks in advance for your help, I'd appreciate it sooo much if you could help me out.

This is an amazing world built by an experienced CAW artist. I was chatting with the creator one day I was was talking about the fact that there are so few worlds built for the grungy, darker side of Sim's games. This world started out as a run down town that had seen better days but evolved into something that can be used as a town that is past it's prime or a place where Sims are struggling past an apocalypse.

It's a small world that is completely empty so you can take it in the direction that you want.  There is an area that could be considered a "down town" area and an area filled with small lots that make up living areas.

It includes items from the packs you mentioned plus Riverview items. If you look at the pictures in the thread you might see other items put in the world while it was being tested but are not included in the world.  I have WA, LN, Ambitions and Supernatural installed and that's all you need for the world.

If you'd like to see some of the lots and Sims that people have created there is a thread. It was a gifting thread which I'm ashamed to say has gone by the way but I'm thinking of reviving it.

Thank you both so much! I love Nightmare City and Industrial Island, they're exactly what I was looking for!  ;D
