Jade's epilogue - part one of two
« Reply #45 on: February 26, 2016, 07:58:43 PM »

You don't always know when you are going to come across the person who completely changes your life, but it can happen at any time. For Jade this happened when she was utterly lost in Windenburg. She got up the courage to ask a stranger for some directions

Despite her tattooes and rough and tough look, Ulrike Faust was a pretty friendly sim and offered to take her around to some of the near by sites. Jade happily agreed.

She felt pretty immediately comfortable with Ulrike. She confessed to her something she hadn't told any of the other contestants. Jade had entered the contest for Dmitri without any intention to win. She had purposely put very little effort into it, because in her heart of hearts she knew she wasn't meant to be with a guy. She had gone into it to prove a point to herself, and gain some independence from her family while she worked it out. She knew once and for all the night before the reveal that she didn't want to marry him, or any guy for that matter, and thats why she had stayed up almost the whole night with dread. When it was over, she had gained enough confidence to tell her parents that she was just not the type of princess that wanted a prince. They were okay with her decision, but it definitely changed their relationship.

Ulrike had similar experiences, part of the reason why she had joined the Renegades was because they didn't judge her for her preferences, where previous groups had. Despite their highlights in that regard, they didn't have much appreciation for any activites beyond setting traps and being mean to others, she felt like she had out grown her relationship with them.

At the end of the night, they shared their first kiss. It had been an unusual date, but the best one either of them had in a long time.

Many years later, they were still going strong. Jade lived with Ulrike in Windenberg with her roommate Maaike. She worked on becoming a skilled chef at a good restaurant while Ulrike was working up the ranks of the painting career.

Then right before they were going to head home after a romantic movie evening, Jade proposed to the woman she loved.

They exchanged promises to keep each other moving forward and treasure the moments along the way. Most of all, to support each other. With that, they shared their first kiss as newly weds

A wedding wouldn't be a wedding without a laugh!

They moved to Newcrest to a cottage that reminded Ulrike of her home town of Windenburg

It was at the park that Jade noticed Ulrike looking longly at the kid park, she pulled her wife into a big hug and murmured that they should sit and talk about it.

They had talked briefly about children when they first got married, but back then it had seemed like a distant reality. Seeing that desire again, Jade brought the subject back up with a smile.  Ulrike confessed she wanted a large family because she had never had one, she had been a only child and had gone through the foster system.

They talked about their concerns, and the hardship of it. But they finally decided they wanted to commit to achieving a large family and they would do it through adoption.

The adoption process was a long one, bu eventually they were approved to adopt Dominic. They were tentative with him at first, but Ulrike's own experiences helped them considerably.

It wasn't long after that they welcomed Jackie. The two boys got along instantly.

It was over a year later that they welcomed Theresa to the family

Jade and Ulrike, what a surprise!
"To be continued...," huh? I'll be waiting to hear what's next for this lovely little family.  :)

Dominic wasn't enthused about having a sister, he felt scared that they would love her more. He went from moments of feeling very sad to very angry

They had all been encouraged to interact and get to know each other, but Dominic couldn't help but take his anger out on Theresa, she would greet him with a smile and he would answer with a sneer

He even went as far as to scare her

Ulrike scolded him and told him if he had nothing nice to say, he shouldn't say it

The look on his face told her this was far from over yet

Dominic decided to take the saying literally, and gave Theresa the silent treatment

Jackie on the other hand made an effort to be nice to his sister, especially so to try to make up for how stubborn and unkind Dominic was being

Theresa had enough of it, with determination she went for every opportunity to be nice and talk at Dominic, even if he refused to talk back

Still, only Jackie was welcoming, they got along remarkably well

After almost a week, she was more discouraged, it was hard to feel like the wasn't wanted

Up until now, Theresa had put on a brave face, and his parents assured them that it was likely just a phase that would soon pass. But when Jackie saw she was upset, he snapped. He stormed up to Dominic and told him off

He berated his brother's behavior on the top of his lungs. Needless to say Dominic finally heard that loud and clear

Finally, Dominic apologized. They talked about how they felt about Theresa, and after spilling all of his worries, Dominic felt silly for being so threatened by her. He knew what it felt like to not have a family, he resolved to welcome Theresa.

He started with an apology, which Theresa accepted

Over time his continued change attitude towards her proved his sincerity

Moving forward, their family became quite close knit. The kids turned to Ulrike for help with practical matters, and Jade was always there with a sympathetic ear.

Dominic would become a professional e-sport gamer when he grows up. His job and Finn's would sometimes go hand in hand, they would help each other with developing better games. Part of his internet fame would come from his hot-headed manner towards games. He was also quite genius when it would come to pushing games to extremes. Eventually he would develop a big wallop of a crush on Emilee but he would keep it to himself for the most part, as he felt Finn might feel the same way. They would live in an apartment together and he would often have his siblings stopping by and pushing him to get out of the house.

Jackie would be a good business man eventually, he would run a shop that sold an arrangement of items from old books to art work. He would become a good peacekeeper, both in his line of work as well in his personal life. He had the benefit of being neat, family orientated and outgoing, working for him as well. Early on, he would realize his gender preference leaned towards other guys and would have a very handsome husband and create a family tradition by adopting his kids.

Theresa on the other hand would grow up to be very independent and completely career focused. She would use her keen instincts and high logic skill to tackle becoming a detective. She could be both the bad and good cop, and had a reputation for a job well done. She wouldn't have a particular fondness for Emilee's family because of their possible criminal aspect, and would keep a close eye on her brothers infatuation

As for their parents, they would both have successful careers by the end of their adulthood. Jade as a chef and Ulrike as a painter. When they both went grey, Ulrike refused to be confined by her age and would dye her hair blue. Jade would welcome her age more openly, keeping her hair natural. Their house would eventually become too big for the both of them and they would move back to Windenberg in a quaint one bedroom home. Their pride and joy would be in their family and they would often be the ones hosting get togethers for the entire group for as long as they possibly could.

I only saw this today somehow.
I'm glad that Jade and Ulrike enjoyed a long and happy life together, both in Newcrest and finally in Windenberg. I'd never seen Ulrike as an elder before!
The children ended up looking so differently as young adults!

Jackie turned out very dreamy and Theresa has great eyes. I'm still feeling some residual resentment toward Dominic for bullying Theresa at first, lol.

Congrats on completing your challenge!

Thank you for still following along! I definitely felt less warm toward him as a kid but I do promise he grows out of it :). I was happy to have finished it.

The very last installment I'm actually not going to post on here, but I have posted it on my blog. The only reason for that is I actually have footage of Rylie's husband making a fantastic transformation and I can't post the video on here. https://simswithseakissed.blogspot.ca/2016/03/rylies-epilogue.html . I updated my blog so it is easy to read if you go on the main page :).

I would have retaken some of the pictures of the kids, especially Rylie's son, but unfortunately after taking the wedding photos, the next time I revisited my game the save was corrupted and I lost everything. It was definitely disappointing because I was hopeful for doing more with the kids as I really felt like I knew them and could have a lot of fun with it. At least I did get enough to write the epilogue :) but that is the end of the princesses!

And they all lived happily ever after.  Well, most of them anyway.  It was a great story and a lovely way to keep it all going.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!
