Teleporting Bug

Hi, Not sure where to put this, but since the latest patch, sims can't teleport at work. My sim's bladder is totally red and I had him teleport to the bathroom and use the toilet. As soon as I unpause, he proceeds to walk all the way back to where he was and then all the way back to the bathroom!!! This is driving me nuts! I like to teleport them when there is a long distance to save time. Does anybody else have this problem? Currently, I'm working the doctor career. For the record, teleportation works good at home except if they are sitting. Then I have to cancel the sit and then teleport them.

When it doubt about a game-play questions it's always good to put it in Misc. Help.

I've never tried to teleport any of my Sims. So I don't know if this will work, but maybe try resetting your Sim to see if that might help? -- Resetsim Firstname Lastname

Would this work while he's at work or will it return him home?

Resetting him may return him home. However, you can either wait till he's home from work or after the reset tell him to go back to work - if it's allowed.

Hi, my sim can teleport perfectly while at work. He's a scientist and he can teleport upstairs, downstairs, inside, outside etc etc. He can also teleport at home perfectly. Hopefully resetting your sim will help. I know you clear your cache regularly so I won't suggest that! 
Have you tried teleporting while at the park? I'm just wondering if he can teleport on other community lots basically. If he can it may just be some sort of glitch with the hospital lot.

Hi Playalot! Yes, my sim who is a scientist can also teleport easily. It's the doctor one who can't.

As much as I'd love to help...I just can not bring myself to play the doctor career ever again. Hopefully you find a solution. I detest that career. *shudder* I found it so buggy and quite frustrating to play basically.

I hear you there Playalot! I'm discovering just how buggy it is! EA prob won't fix it until the very end of the series, of ever.

Yeah, I think the trouble is that these bugs don't seem to be very easily reproduced so the devs can't fix something if they don't ever actually 'see' the problem. It seems as though you either get a buggy game or you don't. I have a buggy game. I pretty much get every bug that is out there. One of my friends hardly ever gets bugs and we play around the same amount of time and both mostly play vanilla. *shrugs* You do learn little tricks around most of the bugs and as you know clearing the cache files and repairing the game both go a long way to fix most things.

*edited I also do a complete reinstall every now and then. After that my game is pretty big free for ages and ages.
