Video Card
« on: October 13, 2015, 02:52:24 PM »
When should you replace your video card? Mine is about 3 yrs old. Last night I started having problems with my games locking up and my video card is very hot to the touch.

I'd say if it's starting to give you problems, it may be a good time to replace it. Depending on what you have you maybe able to get a replacement fairly cheap.

What video card do you have currently?

Got this back from Hubby:

General thought is to replace the video card every 2 - 3 years - usually for something a little more updated. I would recommend the GTX 750 Ti still as it's a good overall card that is less expensive and is overkill for a good majority of the games available.

EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti = $119.99

We have decided that we are going to upgrade soon to the R7 360. Gonna do crossfire so there is less stress on the system and one card. Two cards are better then one. Lol
