Sims 3 Pets (xbox 360) Moving Out Glitches, HELP US!!

Ok, we're stuck.

We have been trying to move out our sims for awhile now, and can get as far as selecting which sims we want to move, and what new lot/house we want to move into. However, as soon as the game tries to move us to the new home, it glitches and doesn't load the new house properly. Everything is inverted and black and we can't modify anything, our sims are there, but can only be seen if we make them walk onto the street.

The only thing we've noticed is it seem to not register that we're in a new area, because after the move, if we try to go another part of the world, no loading screens happen and the entire rest of the game is inverted and black for all the buildings or anything interactable.

We had this happen to us once before when we tried to move, but just messed around in "build & buy" mode and it eventually went away, however this time it doesn't appear to be helping.

Anyone got any advice. We really want to get this to work XP

Hi, Rasuran. There are a couple of things you could try, but aren't guaranteed to work:

1) Try saving the game in a new game file - press the -> button on your Xbox controller, select Save and New Save Game. I'm working off of the PS3 version, but the Xbox 360 version should be exactly the same.
- Or -
2) Save the individual Sims to My Studio and then create a new game with them. This unfortunately means you will likely have to start them completely over.To save the Sims to My Studio, select the Sim with the Y button, have them go to any dresser and select Plan Outfit. Then save the Sim by clicking the X button.

If neither option works, the only other suggestion would be to start a new game. It sounds like your current save file is corrupted.

Thanks for the advice, its a good alternative, but the main reason we wana move is because we want to use the sims we have with all their progress intact...all well, we'll keep trying i guess..maybe it'll eventually work

UPDATE: We finally figured out what was causing it! For some reason, if we tried to divide up the family while moving, the game would glitch up and be unplayable or crash without fail. We found that the only way we could move into a new household was if we moved the entire family, and then kick out or kill the sims we didn't want in the new house. Bit of a pain, but glad we finally found a way to do it.
