Adding a Grill to a Community Lot

Hi, I need to add a grill to a community lot, but the only one available is the basic grill and that didn't count. The only other cooking facilities for community lots are the firepits. I tried going into edit town and changing it to a residential lot and adding a grill, then changing it again, but the grill disappeared. Not only that, but now the family doesn't even own it anymore and it is not available for purchase!

Well, it seems as though all I had to do was to add 1 more grill to the lot. This is the first time I've worked w/upgrading the lot.
