So I got the recent patch but I can't for my life get the Grilled Cheese Aspiration to show up. I have repaired and restarted my game so many times. I don't even know what to do anymore. Does anyone else experience this problem, or is it just a problem with my game?

To get it to show up I had to have my sim eat 3 grilled cheese sandwiches in a row without waiting for them to get hungry. I fixed a plate of 4 and when they finsihed eating one had them grab another one. It will show up under the food aspirations.

Yep..this aspiration needs unlocking through eating grilled cheese.

I only knew because someone else told me! It didn't occur to me really that this would not be available in a new game.

Obvious once you know, like all things in hindsight.

Glad it working for you. I had been eating sandwiches every time they got hungry and I wasn't getting the aspiration to come up. I read somewhere else to eat them one after the other until it popped up.
So if you think your in the stupid boat, move over and let me into because I had the same problem.

It's not very intuitive to unlock, but the aspiration is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, and it is intended to be a "hidden"aspiration, even though they announced it to the world.

I also normally don't wait for hunger for the other tiers of the aspiration. I don't do them in one shot, but I'll eat 3-4 grilled cheese at a time just to speed the aspiration up. You might need some treadmill time to avoid weight gain with this tactic though.

Would anyone know the point of using the "Talk about grilled cheese sandwiches" social?
Only one sim in my house of 8 has unlocked the aspiration, but the other sims now have access to this social.
Bonus friendship points if the other point can also talk about grilled cheese sandwiches?

I can't remember if the child sim can use this social but he definitely couldn't unlock the aspiration.

Unless you're using it for the aspiration, I think it's just a generic social. I was hoping that evangelize about grilled cheese might be a social way to unlock the aspiration for other Sims, but to be honest, I always forget to test it. My play time is very limited right now.
