Stats.set_skill_level major_ Cheat Not Working *Fixed!!*

Stats.set_skill_level major_ **** Not Working since latest patch?

Hi does anyone else have this problem since latest update?

I've tested some other cheats and they seem fine, so far just the stats one seems to be not working.

I have finally after all day trying to work out what was wrong found a fix.
I repaired the game, moved my sims from one town to another and then back to original house.
Anything other than what I just listed didn't work, believe me I tried everything.
Typed in my command testingcheats on then used my Stats.set_skill_level major_ *****cheat. YAY finally working.
Sorry to have wasted anyones time, but at least now if anyone else gets this issue they can solve it.

Hi Butterflysim,

I am not familiar with this cheat. However, I did try to search on the problem and found a topic on the Sims.com forum from back in May. But nothing since then. It suggests try typing "testingcheats on" first.

If I may suggest to make sure you're using the cheat correctly by:

After you've picked your active household in Live mode, try turning on testingcheats true.

To do this, press Ctrl+Shift+C at the same time to bring up the cheat console. Type in testingcheats true then hit enter. -- When done with the cheat, type in testingcheats false.

Testingcheats true will only work once you have chosen a household to play with. It will not work while on the Map screen.

Thank you for your reply, I have tried all of what you suggested and have read the post/s you are referring to. I am using the cheat correctly because it worked this morning for me I had to go do something else and shut the game down, later around lunchtime I opened my game again and it needed an update so I did that, now the cheat doesn't work, it's quite a popular cheat too so I'm hoping that it is fixed when I purchase Day Spa on the 14th.
