Please help me with Sims 2 physical disk installation
« on: May 22, 2016, 02:39:21 AM »
Good morning

I have spend my day trying to install my sims 2 on my windows 8. I get the bace game to work but as soon as I try to install my expansion or stuff packs it's a whole new story as I did download the newest pach from SIMSVIP.

As soon as university life is done with installation it says it wants to update I click  ok ok and then installation terminates and back to 0% happened like 5 times.
Any advice please

Hi, quinti.sims.

This thread at ModTheSims should walk you through the steps to get the game installed properly.

Hope this helps and happy Simming! :)

Thank you did try that now but no lock as soon as it's done installation I should open grumpy and update but grumpy can't update because sims 2 is already open.
I am so frustrated again.
Haha

Sorry to hear that didn't help you out. :(

If you don't mind using Origin, you may be able to ask EA for a copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection. Just let them know you're having problems installing your disc copy in Windows 8 and they will likely provide you with a code. Then it's a much simpler download and install. Might be worth it especially if you don't have all of the expansions and stuff packs already.

Hope this helps and happy Simming! :)
