Modified home, cant build trims

Hi guys, my problem is the following: i moved my family to a existing (base game) home, i needed to build a new room, but the problem becomes when i try to finish the home adding the trim to the roof of the new room but wont allow me to do that, i tried many ways to do it, but i cant, i need any clue or help about this, coz its driving me crazy

Hello ^^

Add one of the rooms without walls onto the top here.  Once you do that, you can place the trim ^^  If you need screenshots to understand what I'm saying, I'll see what I can do.

What Shewolf 13 said.  Use the flat, floor only, room on top and then place the trim you're wanting.  That trim must be applied to an upper floor, not a ground floor.

It's a great way to give covered porches that finished look so that the tops of the columns are left exposed.  Enjoy!
