Custom Content file placement

I've downloaded a .rar file and I know how to extract it and all that but it has a skin in it, and I don't remember where I'm supposed to extract it to. I used to have a bunch of cc and this skin in my game, it's a popular skin so I know it's safe, but the cc I had was not safe and so I deleted everything and stopped playing. Now I don't remember how to get custom content into my game, or where to put the files once I have them. Please help me, and thanks for your time!
