Trouble Editing Relationships
« on: December 20, 2017, 08:54:20 AM »
Hello,

I am trying to change a married couple's relationship to roommate.  I have cas.fulleditmode on.  But when I click on the relationship option roommate, nothing happens, it just reverts right back to married.  I tried removing their relationship using mc command center, but when I load cas they are right back to being married again.

Help :'(

You might be better to use the in-game interaction 'Ask to be just friends' or use the mean interaction 'divorce' to break them up. It's very difficult to change relationship status of sims that have been played with cheats. Once you've broken the marriage you can use the friendship cheat to make them friends again if that is what you want.

I can't offer any advice about MCCC as I haven't used it.

Thank you, I think I will just make some clones so that I can start with a clean slate.
I wish that I could easily edit relationships in CAS. Oh well, at least there is a work-around though it's not ideal.  :(

That's pretty much what I have resorted to doing. I have a save where I cheated a sim into the active science career and use the cloning machine in-gme to make clones as those sims look identical but have no skills etc, then I just save them to my library immediately and next place the newly cloned sim into a brand new game.
