Ambitions won't install?

When I try and install Ambitions I get this message -

Setup cannot continue because programs associated with The Sims 3 are currently running.
Please stop these applications before attempting to run The Sims 3 Ambitions setup.

- I have closed all Sims 3 related things on my computer and it won't budge...any help? Thanks

Have you made sure that the EADM(EA download manager) and the Sims 3 launcher are not running in the background?  Have you tried restarting your computer?
