Moodlets for baking and cooking guides
« on: April 20, 2015, 06:22:39 PM »
I just read your new baking guide, and think it's great.  However, one thing that I think your baking guides and cooking guides could use is a listing of what moodlets you get from the foods if you make an excellent quality version of them.  I know that with gourmet cooking, you get +3 happy for a dish made at level 7 or above.  With normal cooking, it only goes up to +2 happy, and I'm not sure exactly where this starts, but I think it is also around level 7.  I don't know anything about the moodlets gained from baked dishes, but have been curious about it.

I believe they have the same moodlets, but realize I didn't indicate that. It seems they buffed duration on those by at least an hour at some point, or else I made a mistake when I first covered cooking. That'd make it one of few moodlets that weren't only four hours at the time.  I'll see about putting a mood section into the new baking guide. Now that I think of it, I put six hours on the cooking page but it must be 5.

@ClayMask I think I got it figured out. Let me know if you notice a mistake, as I couldn't bake every food of course. I believe I found logical breakpoints for all three skills just now.

Regular cooking, you can get the +2 5h from Omelet and up (the only level 7 food that can do it).

Gourmet, it is the level 4 prosciutto wrapped asparagus that begins 5h moodlets. The epic meal moodlet kicks in with the lobster dishes.

Baking is level 6 foods provide the +2, Level 8 the +3.

Thanks for incorporating my idea.  I haven't done any testing on this recently, but from what I know it sounds good.  Do the level 7 baked goods also provide +3?

I tested two 7s in baked and I believe I got +2. It's kind of in between cooking and gourmet. The cupcake machine is actually pretty good as a result. You could live off it, just wish it had upgrades. Auto refill and self cleaning would be nice. No problem on incorporating the info, glad you suggested it as it's important. I think I will point out how powerful they are on the tips page, so people can realize how much easier it is to keep mood up with them. Likely do that before the weekend, it needs some improvements.
