Unlocked Content, Moving and Playing Multiple Households

So I have a big family save in TS4 at the moment. Two brothers and their wives, plus a teen stepchild (can't wait for the step-relationships to be implemented!) One of the couples just got pregnant, and they're both fertile. At this point, I would like to separate the households. However, this save has been my "everything" save, so all my Sims have had multiple careers and unlocked plenty of the career rewards, as well as social event rewards.
If I were to separate these two families into separate lots and switch between them while playing, would both families have access to the unlocked content? Would one family only have access to the content those Sims have unlocked? Would my Sims have to start all over again unlocking content?

Unlocked content, to purchase, would only be available to the sims who unlocked it.  However, if the content is already bought and placed before you move them, at least the original house can still use all the content.
