Writing skill books

Title may sound confusing; is it possible for the writing skill to write skill books for any other skill (including writing itself)? I'd love for my child Sim, Aiden, to write these.  :P

No. You can only write novels, I'm afraid. Writing and athletics don't have skill books, but I believe all other skills do (Although a number of those skill books are only available at the consignment store or the Vacation World associated with their skill). You can boost writing with tabcasts if you have the multitab, though. No such shortcuts for athletics, though.

That's sad news; was hoping to raise them in a more fun fashion than using Potent Skill Boosters from Alchemy. I suppose I'm back to that method.
