Weird Graphical Issue in Sims 3 *HELP*
« on: February 26, 2015, 01:45:39 PM »
I just got this issue today.  I raised up my Draw Distance and ever since then I have been having this issue.  I have already restarted the game as it tells me to.  I have always raised it up to medium and large and restarted the game both those times.  I can't seem to get rid of it. HELP!

You can see the issue in a picture here: http://nuggetphan.tumblr.com/post/112150637708/help-me

Are you able to reverse your Draw Distance to where it was before?

Hi Ashlan,

Thank you for sharing a photo of the problem. Have you tried updating the graphics drivers?

Do this by searching for your computer's manufacturer and it's graphics card maker.

If you're unsure how to get that information. Please refer to the Find System Specs thread (link below). When you get your DxDiag.txt file, it should give you the computer's manufacturer and it's graphics card maker.

Hi Ashlan,

Hmm... Maybe, but maybe not. I did a quickie search and found some links that maybe helpful. I'd still suggest to see if the video drivers need updating.

How to Upgrade Drivers for a Video Card on a Mac
http://www.howcast.com/videos/359885-How-to-Upgrade-Drivers-for-a-Video-Card-on-a-Mac

Here's a link to get your computer's specs, just in case it's needed to get video card drivers.

How to Check Computer Specifications - Method 2 of 3: Mac OS X
http://www.wikihow.com/Check-Computer-Specifications#Mac_OS_X_sub

If this doesn't help, let me know.. I'll see what else I might be able to find. I'm not a Mac user, but try to help best I can.

Edited to add:

Something that may also help, if you haven't tried this already. Try patching to the latest patch and the super patch.

Current Patch - 1.67 - Manual links and more (for Mac and PC)

Or get the Super Patcher for Sims 3 (for Mac and PC)
