New Update Prevents Sim From Returning Home

My sim was in france, when I did the latest update, now my sim can't return home. When I tell the phone to 'return home' he arrives at base camp, if I try again the game acts as if he's going home. Then I'm back in France, with NO sim! Can anyone help me with this problem? Maybe un-doing the update?

This isn't necessarily caused by the update.  There have been many ongoing horrible bugs associated with traveling for quite some time now.

I've had my sim travel many times and this has never happened. Therefore, I'm still associating it with the update.

Perhaps it's just coincidence.  Either way, what I'm saying is that travel bugs like this have been a major problem for a long time.  We're hoping EA will release a patch to correct the problem, but no word of it yet.

lelubelu,  I can say catagorically this is NOT a bug or glitch from the update.  It is an ongoing problem I have had for over a month long before any update came out.  My Sims would go to some foreign land and if I tried to send them home they simply wouldn't go and often would lose all their contacts.  Sometimes they even showed up in their family tree as being dead.
