Trait that comes with aspiration isn't showing?

I was playing with another family when my little boy aged up. When I switched back to playing with his household, he got an aspiration and regular trait, but he didn't get the trait that comes with the aspiration (eg. Popularity aspiration you get gregarious). I Modified him in CAS and tried selecting it again but still nothing came. How do I fix this?

I think it's a bug of some sort.  I've noticed it happening randomly as well.

It can happen. I completed the Nerd Brain aspiration and did  not get the 'handy trait' or the ability to instantly upgrade. I think it was because I had maxed handiness before maxing logic which was the real deal for this aspiration. When I tried again,  and mastered logic - and therefore, completed the aspiration - before I mastered logic, I gained the relevant trait and ability.
I know this is a different aspiration, but I hope this inf helps.
