Emotional Items in Inventory

I don't know if this has been asked (looked around, and couldn't find it) but I was wondering if items with emotions enabled could be put in a Sim's inventory and still give the emotion moodlet.

If the question is a bit hard to follow, an example is the dolls found in a time capsule. They give a playful moodlet. If they're moodlet is enabled, and they are in someone's inventory, does the Sim still get the buff to their moodlet?

As far as I'm aware nothing does this. Be good if something did though!
