Sims Can't/Won't Buy Drinks While my Sim Tends the Bar

My Sim's first attempt at "Moonlight as Mixologist" at Waylon's Haunt went great: my Sim was 'tending the bar' -> 'serve food/drink' until closing and everyone was happy.

Since then, my Sim cannot serve anything to anyone. Whenever she "Moonlights" at any location, the customers want to buy drinks and my Sim gets the 'tending the bar' action que along with 'serve food/drink' but the 'serve food/drink' que disappears after a half second. It's as if something distracts the Sim from ordering their food/drink, except that they don't leave and the 'serve food/drink' kind of flashes on and off until the ordering Sim gives up and leaves. The number of Sims standing at the bar ordering things at the same time does not seem to make a difference, as this happens when there is only one Sim or many Sims.

It's quite annoying because I was having so much fun with this!

Any suggestions?

You might want to go into 'edit town', then delete the current bar and replace it with a new bar of the same type. Save your game then try it again.
I don't know if this will help you or not as I haven't had this problem, but it seems to work with other items that stop working the way they should.

The problem has become more sporadic now so at least she can sell a few drinks sometimes. I'm simply just having her moonlight less often instead of going somewhere every night. I'll try that next time.
