Sim Menu Bar won't load

Hey,

When I load the Sims 4, it'll get to the actual game and the sim will be able to move around and it'll be normal, except that the menu thing (with all the sim's needs and his/her emotion and whims etc) won't load. There's also some options missing from the bar in the top right corner (with the 'gallery' and 'camera' options) and when you try to click the ones that are there, nothing with happen. When you click objects, the pie menu won't load.

I do have cc downloaded, but the game was working fine with cc to begin with. This started happening after I downloaded some more today- I've removed these from the game, but it still isn't working. I tried removing all cc from the game, and that did get it working, though.

This also started after the game froze while on a loading screen, while trying to get my sims to travel somewhere. I tried to put my laptop into sleep mode, but it didn't 'go to sleep', so I had to restart it (as the screen wouldn't load at all). It was then that I downloaded more cc (in hindsight that may have been a bad idea ), and when I opened up the game, this all happened.

Does anyone know what to do (and preferably without having the go without cc  )

If I'm understanding right it started when you add some new cc to the game.
Make sure some of the new cc isn't conflicting with the old cc and sense the game just had a patch I would check with the author of all your cc, new and old, to see if it they need update for the new patch.

I'm going to have to go along with what Grimsoul mentioned. Check to see if the custom content isn't conflicting. As sometimes with new patches they do.

Something you may want to try is to first play a test (new) game without the custom content to see how the game works. If it works fine with out cc, then it's most likely something to do with the custom content.

Add the cc in a little at a time, testing with your new game here and there. If you find anything that isn't working, just leave that or those pieces out.

I had this exact same issue and had to remove pillboxes (?? I think, not on my gaming rig right now) place things anywhere mods and anything else that had to do with Move Objects On including TwistedMexi's MoveObjects mod. They added that MOO as an official cheat and I'm sure those types of files now have issues. Removing them fixed my game. Good luck!
