Pregnancy and Work

Hi, I have a pregnant sim who was due to "show" just before her work shift ended. In the past, they've completed their work day and just "showed" upon immediately leaving work. I was playing this last night and she was actually bumped out of work before her shift ended! Is this normal now? Did EA change something w/a patch? She was due to get promoted that shift and now I have to wait. :(

I don't know if a patch changed things but my Sims have always been bumped out of wherever they were exactly 24 hours after 'trying for a baby' to do the pregnancy reveal.  I've always timed the 'try for a baby' to be after a work shift if I was hoping for a promotion.
