I'm Probably Going to Have Problems Again

I have been having problems with Sims 3 disks since day 1. So, in about ten minutes, my dad is coming to take us out to dinner, and then look an LN, which was shipped to his house. If the same problem since day 1 persists, the computer will try to read the disk, fail, and spit it out. And even so, I won't be able to install in anyway, because I can't download the patch. Any suggestions? I really wanna play LN, it seems cooler that WA and AMB combined.
If the disk problems persist, I'll have to ask my dad if we can get another (pardon my french) mod so I can run it without the disk.

All you have to do is register the game on the sims website.  Download the EA download manager if you don't have it already install in your computer.  Make sure you don't have late night installed, uninstall it if you do.  Open the EADM, click on the gear looking thing and click on redeem code.  Put in the code for Late Night.  After that LN will show up in your game list.  Download it and install it from there.  Tada! You will never need a disk for that computer.  You can use LN like that for 5 computers.  Any questions just PM me.

Well, how did you get the other expansion packs to work?  Seems like you'll just have to do the same thing for Late Night.

For WA, I used my friends TS3 disk, for AMB, I got a mod that lets me run it without the disk.

UPDATE: Yesterday, we installed the update, and LN, but I can't play it because I can't get the stupid DISK to mount! Rrrg. My dad will probably be able to get it to work this weekend, but do you guys have any ideas why the disk won't mount? My brother says it's because of our computers disk drive, and the disks copy protection.
