Do I need to patch before installing LN?

This seems like a shockingly stupid question but I felt I had to ask: do I need to patch my game first with the new patch or will the installation of Late Night do that for me, or will it only install the previous patch (which I also don't have)?

I ask because on a forum one person said their game wouldn't install until they patched it, which I find very unusual!

I was having trouble installing the latest patch, so I just never got it. So of course when the new EP said it wouldn't install until it was patched, I was worried. But the installation managed to install the patch without any problems. After that, the EP ran its installation with no problems.

When I Installed Late Night it told me I had to install the patch first (I hadn't played in a while) and it went just fine.

Your installation disk will prompt you to install whatever patch it needs, so don't worry.
