Mac - Can't Update

Hiya! I'm Amelia, and my Sims 3 game won't update! Now hear me out, I've tried everything! From the Super Patch to various miscellaneous patches. I have deleted everything from my Electronic Arts folder, and reinstalled every expansion patch and the main game. Nothing seems to be working! Recently, it has been asking if I would like to update, and when I click yes, it freezes and the only way I can close my game is to turn my computer on and off. I made a break through when I got frustrated, and I just clicked "play". Well, surprise, instead of the opening screen popping up, the update message popped up. This time, when I clicked yes a downloading sign came up and started to load. As you may know, I got extremely excited! After a bit, even before it reached halfway, the download message would just quit! Quit! What do I do!

I have a Mac computer, and my game is on version 1.0.331.00001.

UPDATE! I finally got it to finish downloading, and now it's really weird. The version changed to: 0.0.0.011000, it says I can update to 1.67 but every time the downloading pop up comes up, it loads a small amount, then quits! As in, the pop up disappears. Now I'm really confused, please help!



UPDATE! So I got kinda far into the download process, when it crashed again (no surprise there), but this time it popped up with a message. (picture beneath) I clicked yes to debug it, and then my game crashes, this continued on several times with me clicking various answers differentiating between the yes' and no's. Someone reply please!

UPDATE! I am currently uninstalling and reinstalling the game.



UPDATE! I have successfully updated it,BUT to my surprise it didn't update my game to 1.67, instead it is now version 1.22.9.011001. It still has the update pop-ups and to update to 1.67, ugh!

As for being able to have an avatar in the forum, you need to post 5 or more times to be able to have access to that and have one.
