Ugly Human Grim
« on: October 09, 2014, 01:13:22 PM »
So I've been having this problem lately...

I have no idea what is causing Grim to show up like this, but it's very annoying. I've tried resetting him with Twallan's Master Controller, but he still shows up like this when a sim dies.

I do have CC installed, but I don't even know where to begin if this is a CC issue or to know whether or not it even is a CC issue. Has anyone else experienced a problem like this?

TIA for anyone who can help me. Grim should not look like an old man with a terrible fashion problem!

The best way to start is to remove all of your custom content and then check to see if you're still having this problem. If you are, then I'd report a bug, but it's probably something in your custom content. Once that's been confirmed, add the items back in a few at a time so that you can sort through which one is causing the problem, then remove it.

I just have so much CC that it would be helpful if someone could help me narrow down what might be causing this weird glitch. CC hair? CC clothes? Mods? What is most likely to cause such a glitch? I'll try removing mods first and replacing them and see what happens. It seems like this might be an issue with one of my mods, but I'm pretty sure I only have Twallan mods so hmm....

I don't play with a lot of custom content because when I play TS3 I'm doing it with too little RAM to handle that much custom content, so I can't help you narrow it down so easily but I can tell you what I've had to do with heavily modded games in the past (lower spec games specifically).

What I would do is remove all the CC and move it back in in batches. Depending on how much CC you have and how patient you are, you can move it back in batches of 100 if need be. You'll know which batch causes the glitch, then be able to narrow down that particular batch into smaller amounts until you find it. It shouldn't take too long and you might get your answer faster that way than waiting for somebody who has had (or has been able to replicate) the same glitch that you're having.

Since you have Master Controller, have you tried taking him back into CAS with it to see what other outfits are "tied" him and remove them? You should be able to fix it that way.
