Few romantic options?
« on: October 18, 2010, 02:17:28 PM »
So this started happening in my game today, it hadn't happened before.
I made two sims and wanted them to get married. But every time they do romantic options, instead of saying "(Sim A) finds (Sims B) alluring" or things like that, it keeps saying "(Sim A) finds (Sim B) okay"(I don't know if that's the word, I'm not playing the game in english). It just keeps resetting back to that, so there are few romantic options and they can't get married or go steady or anything, they can't even kiss.
Has this happened to any of you? I don't have problems with other sim couples, just this one.

I dont know whether this will help, as you probably already tried this, but the romance interactions, kinda scale up, so you have to keep using them sometimes to get more options :)

Thanks for replying! But, I keep using the romantic interactions, and it says "(Sim A) thinks (Sim B) is okay" instead of saying they find them flirty, alluring, etc. It's like I'm doing a friendly interaction... except I'm not.

I have had this happen a few times, especially at the very beginning of a relationship.  I just kept at it and finally the options that I wanted came up.  The funny thing is, if your two sims are not interested in each other that way, being romantic anyway, the option may never come up.  Make another sim and try it and see what happens.  I did this and it did not take long before they were going steady and engaged.  These funny little sims seem to know more what they want than we do, lol. :)
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?

I had a YA female that was rejected for first kisses by two different YA males in Twinbrook even though she was best friends with both of them.  She traveled to Egypt with her father for a 3 day vacation and fell head over heels with Youseff Nagi (after beating him at chess).  Within 2 Sim days they were married and she was expecting a baby.

Sometimes I think my Sims are sort of human  ::).

Problem solved! I quit the game yesterday, after I couldn't find a solution, and today I started playing again and everything was normal. Thanks anyway, everybody.

I have noticed that Sims sometimes act like life.  If I am stressing my character over finding a mate, nothing happens.  However, if my Sim is going about his or her life accomplishing goals, getting enough rest, visiting the park and friends, a companion will pop up that they find very agreeable.  Before you can shake a stick, marriage bells are in the air.  This is the part that I find very fascinating with Sims -- the unpredictability.

I agree! Sometimes I think my sims are actually real! Maybe I should be scared that I don't freak about that lol.
