Glitched fish collection

My sim has just one last fish to catch - the batfish. No matter what, whenever that fish goes into her inventory, the game crashes I even tried sending her home, and spawning the fish on the lot and then dragging it to her inventory. It still crashes. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm about to test a fresh file and see if it still happens.

I think it's your game Annika.  I have caught and kept and mounted bat fish with no problems at all.
