Rainboo Genetics

How do I raise my chances if having a rainboo? Is it 50/50 or do grandparents etc affect it?

There's no way to raise the chance of it happening. Rainboos rely on devious breeding plans, cheats, or sheer luck. Grandparents very, very rarely play a role in skintone genetics, though it can happen in an unmodded game.

This applies to basically any physical feature that you might want on a sim.

Oh, that's disappointing. Thanks anyway trip!

If you don't mind me asking... How did you get so many rainbow sims in the Waverly dynasty?

Nothing but luck. Every spouse was a normal, human-colored human, and I expected the genes to run out after generation four or so, but they kept going and going.

I'm a bit new to the terms used on this forum but I'm assuming rainboo means a coloured baby sim? (please don't laugh if i'm wrong lol)
I have a family with a genie mother so she's dark blue, and the dad is a fairy with his skintone on the very lowest on the purple scale, all kids they've had so far have been dark purple or blue. My friend had a sim on the rainbow scale with a normal partner and kept trying to have a set of purple twins but they kept coming out one purple and one white! it was cute, but frustrating for her hahaa I guess it comes down to how many coloured sims are in the family tree, if only one parent is a different colour it would just be a 50/50 chance i guess :D
