I'm very attatched to my sims, been so since TS1 really. I'm very protective (read: controlling) and will make sure they have the best life they can have. I have big problems with letting them go, so I end up with quite large families. I hate to move any of them out, what if they are miserable, what if they die, what if they end up marrying someone I don't like? There's an endless list of things that will trigger my 'panic-mode'.

I should probably seek professional help.
I wake up every day planning to be productive, but a voice in my head says 'hahaha good one' and we laugh and laugh and take a nap.

Oh yes.  I get attached to my sims when I'm playing them.  I've never been able to kill a sim off without feeling awful about it.  I also get irritated when a sim I'm fond of rolls wishes that make me disappointed in them, like wanting to quit the job associated with a lifetime wish, or to no longer be friends with their child (and I mean child age sim, not adult or surly teenager) when they don't even have the evil, mean-spirited, or dislikes children traits.  Or a sim who is happily in love and in a relationship or marriage rolling wishes to learn the sign of someone they just met, or to kiss one of their friends, when they don't have any traits that should trigger it like flirty or commitment issues.  I'm there going, no, stop, you don't mean that!  I thought better of you!  (The worst example being a happily married sim with a new baby traveling alone to the future and then rolling a wish to kiss a plumbot he met.  No.  Just... no.  Bad sim.)

I nearly always grow attached to at least one person per sim family lol. Sometimes I get attached to a sim before I've even finished making them :) I really put myself in their shoes and play the story and dialogue out in my head. I have a FAVOURITE ever sim called Emmanuel who is the 1st premade sim I ever saved back in 2010 when I realised that was possible, he has lived many different lives in many different towns over the years, but just recently I had to reinstall my whole collection. I wasn't bothered about starting everything again until I realised I would never make the exact Emmanuel and my game felt so empty without him so my dad and I went to all the effort of accessing the harddrive on my old broken computer just to get my Emmanuel back <3
