How do I travel to the shops area?

How do I travel to other neighborhoods?  I seem stuck in mine.

How do I sell items I've caught, found or grown?

What do you do with room or item upgrades?  How do you use them?

How do I move plants I've planted?

How do I buy items?  Is there a buy mode, if so, where is it?  (I want a better stove but not an entire new kitchen.)

You travel using the phone (the travel option) or by clicking the road and choosing travel.

You switch world in the travel options (click the 2 different world icons in upper left corner to switch between the two maps).

You can sell by drag and pull, similar to ts3 inventory, some items also gives a sell option if you click them.

In the upper right hand corner there is an icon with a house, press it and you go to build mode. You can search for the item you want to purchase or just click the middel? button I think. There is a roll up menu where you choose what function you are looking for. Go to appliances. Or you can also choose to filter items by room.

To travel outside you home lot, click the phone in the bottom left corner of the screen, and select travel. Or you can press the shortcut key for the map (m) and select somewhere to go from there. I believe that you can also click the road and select 'travel' or 'travel with' if you want to take several sims

You can sell items by dragging them one at a time to the simolean sign.

Buy and build mode have been combined.

How do I sell items I've caught, found or grown? Just select it in your inventory and drag over to the coin sybol and release.

How do I buy items?  Is there a buy mode, if so, where is it?   Enter build mode (top right hand ) and on the bottom left beside the picture of the house there are four icons. The top one is build mode, the next two are for objects arranged by room and function.

What do you do with room or item upgrades?  How do you use them?

To move plants you have planted, go into build mode and pick them up to move.

Dear friends, one and all, I thank you!  I'm finally having fun, and the camera thing is no worse than you'd use in an mmorpg, but I still like being able to do the things we do in TS3.

You can also sell the whole stack of apples or whatever by dragging the whole stack to the '$' sign next to the inventory. The game asks you if you want to sell the whole lot which is, I guess, a safety check in case you only meant to sell one.

Also, press the letter M on the keyboard for Map View.

There are no shops -- you buy groceries from the refrigerator and books from the bookcase. You can get seeds from the computer or by clicking on a plant pot.

Dear friends, one and all, I thank you!  I'm finally having fun, and the camera thing is no worse than you'd use in an mmorpg, but I still like being able to do the things we do in TS3.

If you so desire, you can switch the camera controls to Sims 3 style in the options menu, under the Camera options.

How do I catch a butterfly? Or can I? Those things are making me crazy!

The butterflies are just decoration, you can't catch them.

I did that for a while too!  We've been spoiled by Sims 3!
