Opportunity not completing

I have an opportunity to read a book, I read it, went to work and it didn't complete it. What am I supposed to do now? Remove the opportunity?

I just had another opportunity where I had to go to the science building and help with something, I did it, went to work and it said I never did it. Has any of this happened to anyone else?

The stuff I mentioned is happening in my sims 3 console game, not sims 4

Ah... oops. My bad. I didn't notice which board it was in. I'll remove that now.... I don't have the console version, so I don't know if it has the same opportunity problems as PC. I guess if your opportunity doesn't complete, then you can remove it. I hope you do find a solution though.

Did you read the entire description?  Meaning what it said you had to do and when it has to be done by?  I know most say "go to work to finish the opportunity".  Maybe there is a second part to it?  It may just be a glitch, you could just remove it and try another opportunity another time.

I'm pretty sure it was a glitch because I've encountered a lot of glitches on this save, more than any other save.

Well, from what I've been told the console versions are loaded with glitches.  I've experienced quite a few so I think they're right.
