Culinary: How about the trait Perfectionist? They will take their time and make their meals better, thus making their cooking skill better (I think) and improving their job performance.
Political: Since you need to have a lot of funds throughout this job, a Party Animal Trait would be good for the Campaigner Party.

I don't know about Party Animal for a politician.  It's true that they like to throw parties, but anyone can do that and be successful with the party.  The other things a party animal does (like dancing all the time) might interfere with a polician's long term agenda.

I agree with Pam. Fund raising campaigns are all about inviting the right Sims — Sims who are very close friends and Sims that are rich (ideally a few of them would be both). If most of the Sims invited fit the bill, then they're going to have a great time regardless. Party Animal trait is overboard. Just Feed 'em. Talk to 'em. Hold out your hand at the end and kick 'em out the door. "Thanks for coming. Oh, Nancy Landgrab, this is so generous of you."
