Cursor randomly grabbing things
« on: August 13, 2014, 05:31:28 PM »
My sim was gardening and I was selling the produce in her inventory when my cursor wouldn't let go of the produce and wouldn't let me sell it, so I went into build mode and back, and it was back to normal, until (right after coming back from build mode) it randomly grabbed my car. I went into build mode again, but the same thing happened over and over again with different things. I tested if the reset sim cheat would work but it didn't. I switched town to another family, but had the same issue there. I have restarted my game and everything.  I have no mods, no cc, my cache is clean and all that. What do I do?

Does your mouse have any problems outside of the Sims 3 game?

If so, try this:

First, restart your computer.

Second, if you've got a corded mouse, unplug it and plug it back in to see if that helps. Or if you have a wireless mouse, try a new battery in it.

As those type of mice are battery hungry.

No, it's just in sims, which makes me believe it has something to do with the game itself.

Are you using a laptop with a touch pad by any chance?

I did a factory reset and it was solved. I have no idea why. I was hoping I wouldn't need to do that. I am using a laptop, but not using the touch pad.
