Who is excited for Amore?

This is one of my favorite little spots in Amore.  Where the canal goes under the cathedral.

As Naria beat me to the punch, this venue is now available :)

The set will normally go for 1900 SimPoints, but until August 10, 2014 it is available for 1700 SimPoints.

You can get it here:

Long ago, there was a beautiful city built on the sands of a charming ocean shore.  Sims often said it was built upon the love and passion of all those who resided there.  If only they also had built on a stronger foundation than sand since much of the city was swept away with the tides.  Love still stands, however, amongst the waterways and awe-inspiring architecture of this: the Last Venue of Amore.

There is one piece of Premium Content (which can only be bought with the Venue at the time of this posting)

Nothing says romance like floating down the canals of the Last Venue of Amore. Ride the waterways, basking in the rich history of this venue that time forgot, but whose love remains eternal.

This is lovely! I'm so in love with Italy. I wonder how long the Sims 3 Store will really be around? I don't plan to switch to Sims 4 that soon, so I'd like to complete my Sims 3 sets.

I would say at least a couple more years. The TS2 Store stayed open for a couple of years after they stopped making new content, and I bet that the TS3 Store is too profitable to shut down at this point.

A couple of tips for people using this venue.

1.  There is no toilet on the site.  Add one in when you place the venue in edit town, even it is a few of those all-in-one toilet/shower cubicles.

2.  When you click on the gondola, and take the option for your Sim to go with their partner, a random townie will show up to be the Gondola driver.

3.  It takes about 5 Sim hours to go around in the gondola.  By that time, my Sims were ravenous.  Although there is a fridge on the set, I don't remember seeing a stove.  So eat before going or BYO food so you don't get the hunger moodlet spoiling your screenshots.

4.  To get your Sims to interact with each other during a gondola ride, click on the seat, not the other Sim.

Enjoy
