A little confused here.
« on: July 23, 2014, 03:45:32 PM »
Hello Everyone! :) this might get a little confusing but i'll try to make this as short and uncomplicated as I can. SO when I installed The Sims 3 (hard copy) a few months ago, i used a random activation/serial code i found online, knowing because of this I wouldn't be able to connect to the Sims 3 store and the exchange yadda yadda.  So this is where it gets complicated. Recently I bought a ton of expansions, almost all of them, and now i'm kind of wanting to connect to the sims 3 store and exchange, but cant, because i cant register my game because of that random serial code i used. And none of my expansions (that i purchased through Origin) seemed to be registered on my sims 3 online account, and i heard this was because of some bug with origin and that it is really registered but im just unsure about that (but thats just a side question). So after all of that said and explained, this is my real question. I bought the digital copy of the sims 3 through Origin (thank you recent sales), can I uninstall everything, and install my digital copy of the sims 3 with a serial code (i assume the origin download would provide me), and then re-install all my expansions, would i be able to register it to my account on the sims 3 website thus granting me access to the store and the exchange? I just wanted some clarity before I go uninstalling my game and deleting all my saved games and what not.

You should be able to, yes. :)

I use an origin version of Sims 3, Late Night and High End Loft stuff (all registered) with the rest of the EP's/SP's (unregistered, because I'm lazy), and they all play together fine. I can even use the shop and exchange.
