Sigma

As long as Sims and Humans have lived, there has been a fascination with numbers and Mathematics. From the very dawn of time numbers have ruled our lives. From the Golden Ratio to the Fibonacci sequence, we have forever been immersed in a world of numbers, whether we know it or not.

All that matters to me, is one number: Eight. Eight Generations of Sims all living under one roof, alive. You may pass this off as a dream, but I know it to be a reality. I have witnessed my Watcher's failure, seen the demise of the Bonanza Dynasty and seen Tales of Woe. But where they have failed, I shall succeed.

Mathematics is not the only field we are driven to follow. No, we also are driven to find a way to prolong our lives on this planet. The deepest obsession of all, is that of eternal youth. How I laugh at those who try to find it! I know the true origin of immortality. A flower, planted forth, shall cause Death to vanish. A fruit, grown in fertile soil, shall give birth to youth. It is intertwined... Death, and Life. To truly become immortal, one must become Master of Death, and Master of Life.

I shall myself prepare this everlasting elixir, and grow this wondrous flower, and share this with my child, and grandchild, for seven generations to come. I shall not fail.

It is, without a doubt, a most difficult task I have in store to me. The path to immortality is both long and winding. I cannot simply feed it to myself; the pure energy would overwhelm this puny body and render me dead. I first must embark on a path of purification so that I am able to harness the energy and feed it into my soul, to become immortal. And, even though I shall produce the most brilliant children, they too must embark on this quest. It will take the rest of my mortal life to finish it, and the entirety of theirs, but the reward is most perfect.

I am an unassuming one, floating in the background. Yet, what is in store for me is beyond belief.

I am the founder.

I am the Immortal.

I am Sigma.

Well, here I am again. ;D It's been a while since I attempted an Immortal Dynasty, and it's been even longer since I wrote a story. This idea came to me suddenly last night. It's not a new idea, by any means. But I like it -- being a nerd, it appeals to me. :P

Thanks for reading!

A very poetic beginning. So logic is going to be an open trait? Personally I like keeping logic, fishing, and charisma open. Keeps sims occupied and out of trouble.

Thanks everyone! :)

A very poetic beginning. So logic is going to be an open trait? Personally I like keeping logic, fishing, and charisma open. Keeps sims occupied and out of trouble.

I don't typically play with the Logic skill, but then again I always meticulously plan my Dynasties, and if I do use it, it's usually for Generation Six or so. I get the Cooking, Painting, Sculpting (etc) skills SuperMaxed first, then go for more intricate ones.

Sorry for the lack of screenshots in this update; the game ran slow for me and didn't want me to play very long. About an hour's worth of playtime only resulted in 8 screenshots.

I am Sigma

This is me. I wear this shocking blue to remind everybody that I am indeed different to all of them. I will be remembered as a visionary, a pioneer of Simbiotics. I must pave the path for my descendants and their mates, their coefficients, their significant others. My children shall never need to worry themselves about money, about the quality of their lifestyle. We live in Isla Paradiso, the most beautiful city in SimNation. Our house, slightly less so.

But my method of transportation does not befit someone of such high caliber as I. I must remember to obtain myself a car of good quality. Not this yellow vehicle this ingrate calls a taxi.

Still, our house overlooks a wipe expanse of ocean. I approve of the cerulean blue color. In fact, all of Isla Paradiso appears to be celebrating my arrival. They must know that I am here to revolutionize SimKind. Even my workplace is a most excellent shade of blue.

Yes, I am a Chef. I will need to be a Jack of All Trades, Cooking, Gardening, and Fishing. Not one of those "Jack of All Trades, Master of None" type people. My Lifelong Goal is to be a Culinary Librarian. Why I am consigned to such a utilitarian fate, I do not know. I must assume my Watcher has my best interests at heart. Ha!

His first attempt at pairing me with a partner was interesting. The gentleman opened the door. I introduced myself to him, then he showed me his Wife. Fair enough, the omniscient Watcher mustn't have seen her when scoping out partners. The next one was just abysmal. Not only was the fellow married, he was also at least four times my age. I'm twenty four! I just... The next one seems acceptable. Young and Single. My only concern be it that he is currently involved with another woman, who is already married. His sense of ethics is low. Prince? Hardly. He is a Scuba Diver, however, and employed with John Law, so if I do partner with him, he should be an acceptable mate.

Has this story been abandoned? I hope you haven't run into the lagging and crashing IP glitches... Loved how this started!

Unfortunately it's on indefinite hiatus. My PC can't always handle Sims (more so now than ever), so I'll probably leave this until I get a better one, hopefully soon. I've been tossing up sending this to the Graveyard, but I'll leave it a little longer. :)

Man, that sucks! Sorry to hear about your computer woes. At one point my PC was so bad I had to use Twallan's Saver every 10 minutes just to prevent losing gameplay time to that stupid Error 12 and the lagging was horrendous! I hope you're able to get back to simming soon! This story definitely whet my appetite for more lol  ;)

If I send it to the Graveyard, it'd be until I get a new PC. I do like this story, so I'd definitely bring it back. :)

You have to do what feels right to you, plus there's no point in it just sitting in the stories board gathering dust! I'll be very happy to get the notification of you first new update though *eagerly waiting for you to get a new PC*

Yeah, the six month grace period is almost up, so I'll save someone else the work and move it there myself. But Sigma will return... ;)
