New computer and Sims now crashing while starting up

Hi
  I just got a new computer on Saturday and it runs window 8.1. I downloaded all my sims games (which is all of them) and all my store bought stuff and the game started fine, once I loaded the mods, both NRAAS and some from MOD the Sims, the game started to crash as it was starting up. The game is still playable obviously, but any idea why things might be crashing? I have my folder set up right and all the mods are up-to-date and they were working on my old computer which I played with Friday night, which ran windows 7. I am not sure what has changed.  I am sure I will need to give more details, but I too fuzzy brained to    know what they are know (life with a six month old I suppose).

Take out all but the Nraas mods and see if it's crashing.  If not, then you've eliminated that as the cause.  If it is, take them out and load them one at a time and check after each one until you get the crash.  If the Nraas mods are ok, then start checking your other mods one at a time to find the culprit.

I agree with Dellena, run the game CC free before diagnosing any issues. I have 8.1 too and had a similar issue which I solved by removing extensions of Nraas' Story Progression mod. So I could use the base mod problem free, but have issues when I added an extension of it.

For safety, please could you post a DxDiag too
