How do you play?
« on: September 26, 2010, 03:41:43 PM »
Since I've gotten this game, I find myself unable to play with normal aging, at least until I have a sim that can cook ambrosia. I have to set aging and story mode off until I can make my sims immortal, then I roleplay normally, most of the time with one or two main sims.
Only then can I turn on aging, and even then, I keep the sims that I play with immortal. I like to max out my stats in whichever sim is my main..

I don't like it when my main sims die

Ha ha. Sounds like you won't be trying the Immortal Dynasty then since you have to always keep aging on. You'd be surprised how quickly you could make Ambrosia if you really focused on only that. You could do it inside of three weeks.

I never switch aging off. I mostly play long generational challenges. I think I would get bored playing the same Sim continuously it reminds me of the old days playing the Sims 1.
I have never tried making ambrosia that is the main reason I have not tried a dynasty yet, although I am thinking of attempting one.

I used to keep aging off cause I hate when they die too, but I have started playing with aging on, except I always have life fruits or Ambrosia for mine. Ever since I discovered that you can buy paintings cheap at the consignment store, hold on to them til the artist die than sell them for mega profit, I let the townies die lol. BTW, welcome to forums, Wkw!

Yup, Aging On for me, all the way!  I like changing it up with different sims all the time, and letting my old ones croak.

No crying here!  I'm always happy to move on to the next Sim.

Yeah, I was sad when my first Sim died.  Then I started a new game with aging turned off, and I discovered if I play the same Sim for a really long time, it does start to feel weird after a while.  After a while I ran out of things to do and with no aging, the challenge wasn't there.
