Can You Control/Have More Than One Household?
« on: July 02, 2014, 09:52:29 PM »
I'm so confused... the first time I played any Sims game was the FreePlay for android/iphone and now I'm trying the Sims 3... I'm used to controlling all these households at once - is it impossible to make more household? I'm a total noob and I'm frustrated with this; I just started though, so if I need to, I'll create a much bigger household to have more characters to play with - answers soon please?

Hi DiscoMoon and welcome to the forum. There are certain differences between the Sims on consoles and devises and the PC version. You can make a number of different households and move them into different houses in the neighbourhood, however, you can only control one household at a time. You can switch households, but be aware that if you are playing with story progression on, the game controls any Sims not in the current household. You might switch to a different household only to find they have done things while you were not playing them. Things like getting a job, marrying, having babies, moving house or even moving out of the neighbourhood. You can turn story progression off, but that also means Sims not under your control will not age.
