Losing cars

Hi all hope you're all well.

Quick question. I keep losing cars they go out in their car then get a taxi home and I can't find the cars. But I've just found them in the Family Inventory of Build mode. But theirs stuck there. I can't sell them or place them. Any suggestions to clear them please?

You have the parking space which allows you to place them?

Yes. I can't even select them in the family inventory. If there's something in there you click on it & the hand grabs it but with the cars that's not possible. They are stuck there. Can't get hold of them & can't sell them
