Where'd that laundry come from?

So all of a sudden dirty laundry appeared in my Sims' house. I didn't have any of the laundry stuff when it appeared. I'm also pretty sure no one changed clothes there. I told one of my dudes to clean it up. He picked it up, and put it right back down. I tried with my neat sim, and got the same thing. I bought a washing machine, same thing happened. I bought a hamper. They STILL won't clean it up! What can I do? I have no mods/custom content.

Can click and drag it to your sim's inventory?  You can then sell it.

You need a hamper, I think, for them to pick up the clothes. But if you click on the washing machine, it should say wash clothes and they will take the pile straight to the washer, normally if you click on year clothes and it says pick up, they will put it in a hamper. You can also click and drag it to the hamper.

Thanks guys. I had actually tried that stuff with no success, but it suddenly started working.

As far as I know, your sims will only produce laundry if there is a hamper on the lot.

Any of Hamper, Washer, or Dryer will trigger it. Though I have occasionally seen laundry appear without any of them.

Do you have a sim sculpting? If he makes a hamper, then you'll get laundry.
