So basically, the autosave creates 2 save files.  One from the beginning of the game, and one that is overwritten every 30 minutes or so or whenever you exit game.  Is that correct?

Wow carl, That had to hurt to lose all that work.
It's disappointing about auto save working like it does. I was hopeing it would be more like Twallan's Saver Mod of being able to set the number of saves to rotate through and how often to save.

Ohh, I feel your pain Carl. Losing game play when you had so nearly finished gathering all the info for the guide is a major ouch!
The gardening guide rocks though

Carl, that is awful!  Definitely something they need to look into fixing right away.


I am hoping my copy is delivered by the time I get home from work.  5.5 more hours!

I'm not sure about this yet. It might just be my old brain not understanding the new ways of doing things. It seems to take way too much time to build relationships...even when they're living in the same house. And, using the right mouse button to rotate around the room seems cumbersome to me.

I do like the ability to be able to plop down a room, or even a whole house onto the lot.

It's definitely a learning curve involved for me.

Instead of using the mouse to rotate around the room I use the  , and . keys. Also know as the < and > keys.

I don't have the game yet, but I believe there's something in the options that allows you to switch to Sims 3 style camera mode.

There is a specific checkbox for Sims 3 Camera
