There are two different clothing pedestals, available under Surfaces > Displays. They are called the Rubikon Retail Display Pedestal by Corebital Designs, and the Concentroid Retail Display Pedestal by Corebital Designs.

Thank you.  I'll see if adding one or more to my lot will allow visitors to switch outfits.

I have placed the pedestals but have no idea how to get people to use them by themselves...

Has anyone had any luck getting visitor Sims to use the clothing pedestals, or is this yet another in the growing list of bugs?

Throw a party, invite 10 guests of the same general age group and gender, set 4 or 5 pedestals with outfits tailored for them. I got the legacy on my first try, but sadly I lost that save. I wish you luck!

Thanks for the idea.  I'll give it a try and see what happens.  Sorry to hear about the lost save.  I've had that happen a couple of times.

Doesn't work. I invited a lot of guests and they all were in one room I specially prepared for this. There were 4 pedestals with appropriate custom designed outfits in the room and nothing else, but none of the guests interacted with them.

Is there a cheat or something I can use to get that Legacy Statue?  Not interested in solving EA's bugs once again.

I already tried it - invited a lot of elderly women, and two interacted with it.

I've moved a set into the consignment shop too, and will go hang out there for a bit.

People will use the Pedestals on your home lot, you've just got to throw big parties and have them tailored for the age/gender of guests. I'd make it formalwear and then set the displays to that type of clothing, just as an example. The chance they will buy the clothing is still small though. I had better luck buying a park and placing the pedestals. Perhaps buying a swimming pool and placing some swimwear along the sides to allow people to shop for a new suit? The Real Estate System is definitely your friend on this one, just be sure to buy a blue tagged lot that you can customize.

If I wanted to avoid jumping through hoops and cheat, I'd do familyfunds to afford buying and put some Pedestals in the Big Park in town, where many Sims are likely to visit. Over time, you'll eventually get the Legacy Statue. Another means of cheating to get a Legacy Statue would be to use the Time Remote Control and befriend Emit Relevart to get Time Keeper. More information can be found in the Guide.

I would like to know what I am doing wrong.............I have a genie in the family, I have 3 pedestals, in the family home. I had my sim purchase an additional property and have 3 pedestals on that property.  I had my sim throw a party in her home, the genie took control of the guests minds who bought outfits, on the other lot I had the genie do the same thing, but still no trendsetter.............so what is it that I am doing wrong?
